Retail Data Product Manager Job Description

Retail Solutions is looking for a full-time employee to serve as the primary interface with European retailers preparing to provide data to/through Retail Solutions for use by their consumer goods suppliers. The Retail Data Product Manager will be responsible for coordination and communication among all stakeholders to the retailer on-boarding process, including: the retailer, the lead customer, RSi Customer Operations, Product Management & Software Engineering. This includes the establishment of project timelines and management to the resulting milestones. In addition, this person will take primary responsibility for analyzing initial sample data files provided by the retailer and documenting the relationship between the data fields provided and Retail Solutions data definitions and data models.

This opportunity is located in our London (UK) or Cranston, RI (USA) office.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the retailer on-boarding process, focusing on European retailers
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand retailer data and align with Retail Solutions data definitions and data model
  • Manage, prioritize and document retailer-specific business requirements based on feedback from RSi teams and industry experience
  • Facilitate the collection of retailer data and manage the creation of the front end customer experience.
  • Provide necessary feedback and participation on testing procedures ensuring overall system quality and data quality of the solutions

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • University Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) with high marks from a recognized university; Emphasis in economics/business, engineering, information systems and/or mathematics is preferred; 3+ years of relevant work experience is also preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required; additional European language skills are preferred
  • Strong project management, leadership, decision-making and technical design skills
  • Familiarity with formal product management techniques is preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and able to produce clear and concise documentation
  • Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is a great plus
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Solid people skills and ability to work well with colleagues, customers and partners
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office products (Excel) required
  • Experience with statistical software is a plus
