Retail Channel Manager/Director
Location: Charlotte, NC
The Retail Channel Manager/Director is the business owner of a select retailer channel (in this case Delhaize America) responsible for driving revenue growth through the delivery of ROI services with high levels of customer and retailer satisfaction. This position is similar to that of a General Manager and is highly visible to all members of RSi's executive staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee RSi’s relationship with Delhaize America and work to continuously develop the relationship, and demonstrate the benefits of expanded data streams and programs through demonstration of value and thought-leadership.
- Direct sales and marketing coordination and support for the retailer channel – work in close collaboration with Delhaize America to onboard more suppliers to the joint Delhaize America / Retail Solutions programs; actively support the sales and marketing functions within Retail Solutions to promote the program to Delhaize America supplier community.
- Sponsor and drive new offers and capabilities in support of the Delhaize America channel as well as any partnerships specific to the channel.
- Responsible for service delivery to Delhaize America suppliers (RSi’s customers) as well as cultivating relationships for farming / up-sell opportunities.
- Manage customer expectations and RSi deliverables while maintaining the continuously high customer satisfaction that RSi is known for.
- Owner of best practices & use cases for RSi applications & services in support of Delhaize America suppliers.
- Establish and grow an office dedicated to supporting the Delhaize America supplier community while pursuing opportunities to support additional retailers in the Charlotte area.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Master’s Degree with 7+ years relevant experience in supply chain, operations, category management or related areas in the consumer products and/or retail industries
- Excellent people skills and ability to build strong relationships with paying customers at all levels of an organization (up to senior management)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, particularly with customers or prospects present
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills demonstrated by experience and references
- Experience managing analysts and/or consultants as direct reports
- Proven program management skills: conceptualizing, planning, estimating and executing
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner
- Software skills such as Excel (required), Access, VBA, SQL, etc. are desirable
- Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., SAP, Retek, Nielsen, IRI)
