Retail Channel Manager/Director - Target
Location: Minneapolis, MN
The Retail Channel Manager/Director is the business owner of a select retailer channel (in this case Target) responsible for driving revenue growth through the delivery of ROI services with high levels of customer and retailer satisfaction. This position is similar to that of a General Manager and is highly visible to all members of RSi's Executive Staff while directly reporting to the Vice President of Products & Services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and continuously develop RSi's relationships with Target Corporation and its suppliers through the demonstration of value and thought-leadership Retail Solutions provides.
- Lead both local and cross-functional efforts to deliver the maximum possible value to Target suppliers through Retail Solutions products & services.
- Direct Retail Solutions' product and services roadmap for the Target channel and manage the activities of team members supporting the Target channel to achieve profitable growth objectives.
- Develop best practices & use cases for RSi applications & services in support of Target suppliers. Work in close coordination with Sales, Marketing and Services to promote Retail Solutions capabilities in the channel.
- Sponsor and drive new offers and capabilities in support of the Target channel as well as any partnerships specific to Retail Solutions and customer success in the channel.
- Manage customer expectations and RSi deliverables while maintaining the continuously high customer satisfaction that RSi is known for.
- Establish and grow an office dedicated to supporting the Target supplier community while pursuing opportunities to support additional retailers in the Charlotte area.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Master's degree with 5+ years relevant experience in category management, sales analytics, supply chain, store operations, or related areas in the consumer products and/or retail industries
- Excellent people skills and ability to build strong relationships with paying customers at all levels of an organization (up to senior management)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, particularly with customers or prospects present
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills demonstrated by experience and references
- Experience managing analysts and/or consultants as direct reports is highly preferred
- Proven project management skills: conceptualizing, planning, estimating and executing
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner
- Software skills such as Excel (required), InfoRetriever (required), Access, VBA, SQL, etc. are desirable
- Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., SAP, Nielsen, IRI, etc.)
